Observatory
The Observatory Project uses the ground as the focal point of an exploration of space. With a photo taken at the site, the project starts with an investigation through graphite and collage of the inspiration photo. Certain ideas gathered from the investigation are taken to the next part of the process: a topographical representation using basswood sticks. This iterative series is repeated throughout the project with the development of a modular spaces created with wire and finally, the development of an observatory on the site plan.
